Wild Moose shaking off ran water
Yep, Fall is just around the corner. This is a moose I shot on a photo trip last fall in the Tetons. You know that is a funny thing, with a rifle you get but one good shot and it is all over, I shot this guy with my camera 130 times over the course of about a half an hour. Anyway, it was dumping ran and after this big guy was standing for awhile in the rain he decided to shake it off. If you look close you can see the rain water raising off of his hair.
These moose are huge. I was far enough away to be safe, but close enough to feel his presents. I sure would not want him chasing me. This time of year, Fall, the moose are in rut, and just out of the frame was a cow moose laying down in the brush. I guess the bull moose was just strutting his stuff.
