A good friend of mine was at Bench lakes a few years ago and too and has in his portfolio a stunning shot of Bench Lake and Mt. Heyburn. Since I was there I tried to replicate the same shot that he took with a few subtle difference. This is the shot I came up with. Of course you do not have his to compare. It was a great excursive to think about all of the aspects that another photographer used in the making of an image and trying to apply it to your own work. This was not only true in the forest, but on the computer to in doing the final edit. I still thing the original is better, but I will get it if I keep on trying.
