Clearing storm afternoon Imogene Lake

As I sat on Imogene Lake in the Sawtooth National Forest on an overcast afternoon watching the clouds hoping they would break. I always hope for inclement weather when I am on a photographic journey. But you need little breaks in the sky to add texture and character. As I sat the sky did begin to fall apart and gave a splash of sunlight on the magnificent granite peak towering above this lake. As the sun warmed the clouds they began to churn and boil over the valleys. All I had to do was push my shutter release.
