One of the many water waterfalls we visited on our Columbia River Gorge photo trip was Fairy Falls. It was not a long walk to get there, but it was very cool. It is always hard to not just photograph the entire waterfall, but to try and find some the details that make it unique and try to exploited those aspects.
Fairy falls has lacy almost strings of water that flow over the almost black rocks. So I put on a longer focal length lens and got up close. I would like to credit for this technique, but one of the other guys that was out with us was taking similar picture, so I had to try. This is what I came up with.
