A trip last fall to the Columbia river gorge lead our small group of photographers to a planned destination, Punch bowl falls. We were prepared to get our feet wet, equipped with rubber boots, and neoprene socks. In order to get the best view of Punch bowl it requires getting a little wet. What we did know but did not know the affect of, was 2 days of Torrential rain filled the falls and turned the creek into a raging river! 6" of water that we had expected to wade through was actually 3 feet. We thought about wading out into the river 3' deep, but only for a moment. Rather, We went above and this was the shot. I kind of liked the little waterfalls on the side.
