Old Idaho State Penitentiary
Close up of a wall of jail cells in a penitentiary housing criminals
I had special permission and a personal guide to take me through the Old Idaho State Penitentiary this week. Had a great time. It was a little daunting to think about the people who had to spend their lives here for the crimes they committed. Most of the time I spent at the old Penn was at night. This show is a row of cells take at night were I was able to control all of the lighting. Some of the light came from the small bulbs in each cell, but was most was painted using a couple of LED lights, one was red giving the closest cell a red hue. This of course was also shot with a fish-eye lens that bends the perspective a little.
