Homestead at the Shoo Fly toll station in the desert outside of Grandview Idaho
Cabin fever got the best of me last weekend. So I snuck out at midnight and drove south of Grandview Idaho and waited for the Milky way show to begin. This time of year, the Milky Way is horizontal at about 3:00am and rotates more vertical. This image was taken at 4:30am. The building in the foreground is an old homestead I have admired for years. It is made of sand stone, and most of its roof has collapsed. I tried to align the Milky Way so it looked like it was coming out of the chimney.
