Hortsman Peak autumn clearing fog
Sometimes everything just works out. After a long hike a morning where you could only see a couple of hundred feet in front of you. Also you discover the Autumn Aspen colors that you were after, most had fallen, all except for this little grove of Aspens. As I approached these trees, the fog had begun to clear quickly. I literally ran up a side hill about 400ft elevation climb. I was shaking by the time I got to this spot. I unloaded my camera and tripod. I rattled off a few shots. The composition was not quite right. I the composed this shot with the two trees helping to frame the scene. Moments after, the valley fog was gone.

on September 5, 2019Great composition and exposure on this image! Right place at the right time! I am guessing you were on the Fishhook Creek Trail when you spied the Aspen grove?
