Thousand springs Hagerman Valley Idaho
This is one of the many waterfalls fed by an underground spring at Thousand springs Idaho. This one poured into a small creek that eventually led to the Snake River. The water coming out of the spring is warmer than you would expect, that is why the grass is so green where the water makes contact. This was shot in March. I used a slow shutter speed to give the water that silky milky look. That was a little tricky since it was mid morning, too much light, but I used a neutral density filter to get my exposure up to a little over 2 minutes. Needless to say this was not handheld, I have been called steady, but no one is that steady.
